Our Mission

The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) is dedicated to promoting a scientific understanding of biofeedback and advancing the methods used in both practice and application.

To this end AAPB promotes evidence-based science and the use of self-regulation to enhance health and performance. It is the association’s vision to integrate self-regulation into everyday life.

AAPB works to advance the development, dissemination and utilization of knowledge about applied psychophysiology and biofeedback to improve health and the quality of life through research, education and practice.

The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) was founded in 1969 as the Biofeedback Research Society.

AAPB is a non-profit organization as defined in Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
